What can I say, the
Hamptons were idyllic. From the picket fences to the quaint Main Streets to the
farmstands & flower pots I am convinced that I must live there. We arrived Tuesday night to a BBQ at my Aunt Diane's house, where most of the family gathered for great food & conversation. Wednesday we visited the Pottery Barn & Williams-
Sonoma outlet in
Riverhead then spent in the remainder of the day in Southampton, just 20 minutes from my aunt's house. We had a nice lunch at 75 Main & visited almost every store on Main (much to Rod's chagrin). That night we treated family to dinner at Margarita Grill in
Westhampton Beach. Thursday we headed out to
Montauk to drop my younger cousin Kate off at her friend's house (very far drive) & enjoyed East Hampton's town (namely the Tory Burch store, again, much to Rod's chagrin). We had dinner with Aunt Diane & her boyfriend, Marty, in town then they drove us to the town of
Bayshore, about 50 miles outside Manhattan, to catch the ferry for Fire Island. Here are some pictures I took - beautiful, isn't it?
